We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Supervisor to oversee our financial operations and support our company’s continued growth..

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Schedule work
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Ensure accuracy of financial transactions
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work
  • Train staff
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Monitor financial control systems
  • Internal audit
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Manage cash
  • Co-ordinate, assign and review work
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Coordinate the organization’s financial operations and budget activities in order to optimize financial performance

Requirements

  • Education required: minimum a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, combined with relevant work experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years (required)
  • Language: English or French (required)
  • Work Location: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Skills and Experience

Computer and Technology Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data analysis, and reporting tools
  • Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Windows for effective communication and documentation
  • Experienced in using QuickBooks and other accounting software for financial management and reporting
  • Strong ability to create and manage spreadsheets to support budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes

  • Accounting: Solid understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and month-end close processes
  • Financial Planning: Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Business Analysis: Ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve performance
  • Risk Management: Knowledge of internal controls and compliance standards to minimize financial and operational risks
